Class Graduated One Year Program

Year of Graduation 2009

What did the NWCAV experience mean to you? It was an amazing experience to find myself surrounded by people, both students and instructors alike, who love food and cooking as much as I do. The courses are both physically and mentally challenging.

Where are you working now? In October 2009, I will be deploying to Antarctica to work as a baker for 5 months at McMurdo Station.

What are your long term goals? I plan to continue working and traveling to explore the world's cultures and cuisines as much as I can before settling down. Also, I am very interested in the effects of food on the human body and nutrition, especially pertaining to endurance athletes, and I am considering returning to school to pursue that. Eventually I would like to open a place of my own, like a small cafe or pie shop.

Information you would like to share with prospective NWCAV students Allow yourself to make mistakes, but never the same one twice. Eat, drink, and live well!
