| What did the NWCAV experience mean to you? |
It was an eye opener and an experience I will never forget. Reflecting on what has transpired in the 15 week Culinary program, I can say that the program was a great success. Given my management background and being used to working in the corporate world, I took a big risk by delving into the Culinary Arts. Because of this, I had serious doubts if I could actually make a successful career change. Although I'm still far from my goals, I can say that the school made me a believer in myself. |
|
| Where are you working now? |
I used to work in finance & treasury for an MNC in the Philipines until I came to Canada in May 2008. I finished the Culinary program in December 2008 and I intend to pursue the Pastry and Practicum programs in 2009 |
|
| What are your long term goals? |
After finishing the One Year program, I plan to stay in Canada and join an organization that will hone my skills. I also want to work in different parts of the world to add to my repertoire. However, my ultimate goal is to establish my own food-related business somewhere down the road. |

| Information you would like to share with prospective NWCAV students |
Put your head down, do the work, and you wont regret it. Trust your chef instructors. If there's work to be done, volunteer to do it. If there's none, ask what can be done. |
