A cooking class is the perfect activity for a team-building exercise, a birthday party, or any other celebration or occasion.  For your private event, a chef instructor will guide you and your guests through the evening's activities. Everyone will cook and eat their own dishes in our professional kitchen space.

Here's an example of a private booking itinerary

6:15 - 6:30 -Your guests arrive, enjoy a cocktail and appetizer

6:30 -7:15 - Our instructors teach your lesson of choice

7:15 - 8:00 - Your guests enter the kitchen and cook!

8:00 - 8:30 - Everyone eats together, enjoys a beverage, and dessert

Dates and availability are subject to the class schedule at Northwest Culinary Academy.

Typically, Mondays to Saturdays are available after 530pm. Sundays can be available anytime.

A private event costs a flat fee of $2500 (+ 18% gratuities + 5% gst) for up to 24 people.

We can accommodate more guests at an extra cost for certain menus (up to 50).

Once a date and chef are confirmed, a $500 deposit will be required to secure the booking.

FAQ

  • We have blocked off this day for you at the expense of other private bookings or classes. There is no refund for any private booking cancelled within 10 days of the reservation date. Northwest does not allow refunds or rescheduling due to weather conditions or illnesses.

  • We have set Private Bookings up so that all cooking levels can participate.

  • Any specific equipment you require, will be provided. As well, we provide towels and aprons.

  • We will make every effort to adjust to your needs with almost all our recipes. On rare occasions, we may ask that you switch menus to accommodate dietary restrictions. If you have any specific and unique requirements, please email lena@nwcav.com to enquire.

  • The school does not have a parking lot, but there is plenty of free parking in the neighbourhood between 12-14th Avenues between Main and Ontario Streets. There is metered parking in front of the school, and free parking on 12th, both after 6pm (which is why evening classes begin classes at 6:15pm) and on weekends.
