This hands-on experience will teach you everything from caring for the perfect sourdough starter to baking soft, flavourful loaves. You’ll learn essential techniques like kneading, shaping, and proofing while being introduced to a variety of breads, from rustic sourdough and hearty whole wheat to fluffy brioche and crispy ciabatta. Whether you dream of baking fresh bagels for breakfast or perfecting a golden focaccia, this course will give you the skills and confidence to make it happen. No experience? No problem! Just bring your passion for great bread, and we’ll take care of the rest.

  • Basic light whole wheat bread

  • Focaccia

  • bagels

  • light german rye

  • brioche

  • whole wheat hamburger buns

  • rye beer rolls

  • multi-grain and seed bread

  • cinnamon buns

  • sourdough

  • ciabatta

  • soft rolls

All tuitions include curriculum binder, apron, 3 towels, Northwest textbook

  • Refund & Class Change Policy

    Refunds

    • Fewer than 7 days before the start of class: No refund

    • More than 7 days but fewer than 14 days before the start of class: Credit issued

    • More than 14 days before the start of class: Full refund

    Class Changes & Deferrals

    Customers may change or defer their class one time only.
    A class change or deferral includes any request to switch dates, times, or sessions.
    All changes are subject to availability, and we will always do our best to accommodate your needs.

    Additional Information

    Northwest does not offer refunds or transfers due to weather conditions or illnesses.
    In rare or exceptional circumstances, Northwest may cancel a class at our discretion. If this occurs, students will be offered a replacement class or a full refund.
